Safe Return

A Safe Return to In Person Care

Since March 16th, 2020 we have shifted our practice to offering Virtual Care as an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

As of May 14th, the Ontario government released the first stage of their reopening plan. Unfortunately, this did not include any changes to the existing advice on practice restrictions for physiotherapists, naturopathic doctors or group fitness classes.

We are still limited in providing in-person care only in urgent cases. As such, we will continue to provide all care virtually.

Our team has been working hard to ensure that we are prepared to offer you care in person in a safe and responsible way, when the time comes. As such, we are introducing new office policies to help limit patient and staff exposure.

Appointment and Booking Procedures

Verbal screenings will be conducted both before the appointment and upon entering our office. We will be staggering appointment start times and implementing a 15 minute gap between appointments to reduce  any overlap, as well as to allow time for the clinic to be sanitized after every visit. Please note that if you have an appointment booked, it may be shifted by 15 minutes. Our team will be in touch over phone and email regarding this. We ask that patients not arrive more than 5 minutes early for their appointment and enter through the front entrance only (both stair & elevator access available). There is a walkway between the buildings (to the left of our building) form the back parking lot. Or you can access of the street (Campbell to Carling). All appointments that do not require a physical assessment will be booked as a virtual appointment. This includes Naturopathic Medicine, Nutrition, and some Physiotherapy consults (dependent upon the issue being treated).

Infection Control Protocols

Treatment rooms, reception, and all equipment will be sanitized with medical grade disinfectant before and after every visit. You will be asked to sanitize your hands when you arrive for your appointment.  Our staff will be wearing the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) advised by the Ministry of Health and their respective governing colleges including masks, gloves and possibly eye protection and/or gowns. We ask that you please bring and wear your own mask or scarf and gloves. We will also have cloth masks for sale at a reasonable price. However, we will also have basic PPE available for you to wear during your appointment if you do not have your own. Reception and waiting areas have been rearranged to allow for proper physical distancing guidelines and we ask that you only use our in clinic washroom on an emergency basis. Payments will continue to be taken online. And all bookings will be completed either online, over the phone, or after in person treatment with your provider in the treatment room.

What You Can Do

  • Purchase a reusable mask: While masks cannot prevent transmission of COVID-19, they help offer a buffer for you while speaking.  We purchased ours locally from Sue at Always Beautifully Creative. Sue’s unique design offers comfortability around the ears and neck, total face coverage and compatibility with glasses.  We will have these available for purchase ($10+HST) if you do not have a mask.
  • Patient attendance only: We ask that only you come to your appointment. Please leave all children and other family at home. Should you desire someone to attend your appointment, we can arrange for them to join virtually. If you require someone to accompany you due to mobility needs and/or physical assistance, your attendant will also be screened.
  • Continue to practice physical distancing: Continuing to integrate physical distancing into your day-to-day routine will help ensure a safe return to normalcy. We ask that you please be mindful of staying 6 ft/ 2m from our reception staff and other patients, as well as follow mindful hygiene procedures.

We are looking forward to a safe return and seeing you in person!
