Shannon has always desired to pursue a career where she can help people reach and maintain their highest quality of life through movement. She began this journey by obtaining her Bachelor’s degree at Queen’s University in Physical Health and Education. Knowing her end goal was to become a Physiotherapist, she decided to pair her continuing education with her passion for travel. Shannon completed her Master’s of Physiotherapy at Brunel University in the beautiful city of London, United Kingdom. After completing her amazing experience abroad, Shannon returned back to her hometown of Ottawa to begin her next chapter.
Shannon continued to expand her knowledge by completing additional training in pelvic health, treating women and men with conditions such as bladder and bowel incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. Shannon’s approach to rehabilitation is to provide her patients with a supportive and safe space to communicate their primary complaint, complete a comprehensive assessment, deliver meaningful treatment, as well as a personalized exercise program. She ensures her patients with pelvic floor and/or orthopedic conditions leave their session with a sense of confidence and empowerment to continue performing functional daily movements they enjoy.
