Birth Prep Workshop


Join us for a birth prep workshop taught by local women’s and pelvic health physiotherapist, Camille Poulin. This 3 hour workshop is designed for birthing persons at any stage of pregnancy who want to prepare for labour & delivery and learn how to push to protect the pelvic floor to optimize outcomes.
This workshop will provide an overview of the stages of labour, movement & positioning to optimize labour, comfort measures to decrease pain, reducing risk of tearing, and pushing positions as well as techniques to support the pelvic floor. Partners are welcome and encouraged to attend!

Mom life is a whirlwind, isn’t it? From navigating those prenatal or early postpartum days to juggling the household, daycare drop offs, school activities and everything else in between, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, disconnected and lose sight of ourselves as women. That’s why we invite you to join us for a transformative workshop designed exclusively for Mamas. In this nurturing and empowering space, we’ll embark on a journey of self-discovery and renewal, allowing you to reconnect with yourself, your emotions, and inner guidance system.

Something for you

During this workshop we’ll slow things down and create a nurturing environment where you can pause and breathe freely, away from the distractions and obligations surrounding everyone else’s needs. This time is about you and for YOU, to honour your inner experience and come home to yourself. To feel held and supported without judgment. Whether you’re grappling with fears surrounding childbirth or postpartum, navigating the highs and lows of motherhood, or feeling isolated and disconnected from yourself, this workshop is your sanctuary.

Through guided exercises and heartfelt discussions we will

Acknowledge and honor your inner experience, creating space for all thoughts and feelings so you can exist a little more freely.

Use somatic movement and dance to ground and connect with the body, allowing felt emotions to be expressed and moved through. 

Engage in self-inquiry through journaling to guide reflection and gain clarity on what truly matters, awakening your authentic self and inner guidance system.  

Connect and share with other Moms going through similar experiences, in a safe and supportive environment.

Meet Leigh Berry. A woman, a Mama and a Registered Social Worker + Holistic Nutritionist.  Leigh is equally excited and challenged by her own journey to shift how she relates to her emotions, food, and the practice of connecting with her authentic self daily.  Currently Leigh’s biggest teachers are both under 5. As a Mom it’s so easy to get lost in the current of life and pulled in so many different directions. The overwhelm is real and we all need support and reminders when it comes to prioritizing our own needs. 

Leigh has worked in both community and health care settings with vulnerable sector populations (including mental health) for the last 15 years, and has been running her private practice since 2016. When Leigh is not working you will find her spending time with family, out in nature, doing yoga or dance, playing in the kitchen, or cozying up with meditation, creative writing and a chai latte.  

Leigh works primarily with other women + Moms who feel at the whim of their emotions~ disconnected, alone, anxious, overwhelmed, sad or depressed, and stressed.  There are often experiences of self-doubt, self-criticism, and a strong desire to feel better, to feel good enough.  Patterns of using food (perhaps unknowingly) to cope, may also exist. 

In her practice Leigh uniquely provides nutrition services alongside use of various best-practice therapeutic modalities for the purpose of psychotherapy.  Leigh believes that it is important to understand what is at the root of our problems, and integrates a mind-body approach to support biological, mental, emotional and spiritual wellness. Guiding women home to themselves, she helps foster a greater sense of inner connection and alignment. Allowing for a felt sense of ease, confidence, and trust to emerge.

As Leigh is a Registered Social Worker, this workshop can be covered under most health benefit plans as group therapy.  The fee includes a brief intake appointment before the scheduled date of the workshop and a receipt will be provided upon completion for you to submit to your insurance provider.

Prenatal Workshop


This 2 hour workshop is designed for women at any stage of pregnancy, even pre-conception, who want to learn more about how they can stay active and healthy throughout pregnancy, prepare for delivery to optimize outcomes, and assist in their recovery and return to activities postpartum.

Created and taught by local women’s and Pelvic Health Physiotherapists, this class will provide information on anatomy, common conditions and treatment options with a focus on pelvic and abdominal/core health (more than just kegels & planks), the importance of breath, as well as integrating movement and embodiment exercises to aid with pregnancy, birth and recovery postpartum.

Interested in hosting a pop up event?

Created and taught by local pelvic health Physiotherapists and yoga teachers at Bloom, our 60 minute workshops are aimed to:

  • Increase knowledge and awareness about the pelvic floor (& core),
  • How it relates to the rest of the body, and
  • How you can create ease of common symptoms with simple self-care tools and strategies.

All are welcome to participate, and be tailored for those who may experience painful periods and bladder leaks, core dysfunction or bowel concerns; or those who are prenatal to anytime postnatal, or looking for general wellness.

In an effort to bring accessible health education and care to our local communities, these Pop Ups Pay What You Can (with a recommended Donation of $20 per participant).
